Your journey begins in Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital and the main gateway to the Northern Safari Circuit. You will travel in a customized 4×4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, providing excellent visibility and space for wildlife photography. Accompanied by a knowledgeable professional safari guide and an experienced safari cook, you will enjoy exciting game drives, freshly prepared meals, and comfortable camping throughout the journey.

The first destination is Tarangire National Park, a beautiful wilderness renowned for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife. The Tarangire River flows through the park and acts as an important water source, particularly during the dry season when animals gather along its banks. This concentration of wildlife creates excellent opportunities to observe elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and numerous bird species.

Tarangire is also known for its spectacular scenery. Open grasslands, seasonal swamps, acacia woodlands, and enormous baobab trees combine to create a classic African safari landscape. The park supports more than 500 recorded bird species, making it a rewarding destination for birdwatchers. Your first night will be spent at a campsite in or near Tarangire, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness after your first exciting game drive.

The following morning begins with an early game drive in Tarangire. Wildlife is often particularly active during the cooler morning hours, offering opportunities to observe predators returning from their nighttime activities and herbivores gathering near the river. After completing the morning game drive, you will travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing villages, farmland, and the beautiful highlands of northern Tanzania.

Your second night will be spent at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite, located near the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This public campsite offers an authentic camping experience in the cool highland environment and provides an excellent base for your crater adventure. Temperatures can become cold during the evening and early morning, so warm clothing is recommended. The campsite is unfenced, and wildlife may occasionally move through the surrounding area, adding to the excitement of staying in the wilderness.

On the third day, you will descend approximately 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. Formed after the collapse of a massive ancient volcano, the crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Its grasslands, forests, swamps, springs, and soda lake support one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife throughout the year.

The crater offers an excellent opportunity to see the famous Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino. Other commonly observed animals include hippos, spotted hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, jackals, warthogs, and numerous bird species. After exploring the crater and enjoying a picnic lunch, you will ascend the crater wall and continue toward Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti is Tanzania’s most famous national park and one of the greatest wildlife destinations in the world. Its name comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning “endless plains.” The park’s extensive grasslands, rocky kopjes, woodlands, rivers, and valleys provide habitat for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, and many other animals.

Your fourth day is dedicated to a full-day game drive across the Serengeti. Your guide will select the most rewarding wildlife areas according to the season and recent animal movements. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter part of the Great Wildebeest Migration, when enormous herds travel through the Serengeti ecosystem searching for fresh grass and water. However, the park’s resident wildlife provides outstanding game viewing throughout the year.

Camping inside Serengeti allows you to remain close to the wilderness after the day’s game drives. In the evening, you may hear lions roaring, hyenas calling, and other nocturnal sounds while your safari cook prepares dinner. On the final day, you will enjoy a scenic journey from Serengeti toward Kilimanjaro International Airport.
