4 Day Zanzibar Holiday Package

4 Day Zanzibar Holiday Package

Overview

Discover the culture, flavours, history, and tropical coastline of Zanzibar with this carefully designed 4-Day Zanzibar Holiday Package. The itinerary combines the historic character of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s famous spice heritage, an interactive local cooking experience, the peaceful beaches of Matemwe, and a marine adventure around Mnemba Island. It is an excellent choice for travellers looking for more than just a beach holiday while still having enough time to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Indian Ocean.

Your Zanzibar experience begins upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport or the ferry terminal, where you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Stone Town. After checking in and having time to relax, you will head out in the evening with a knowledgeable local guide to explore Stone Town. Walking through its narrow streets reveals traditional carved wooden doors, colourful markets, historic buildings, and the fascinating mixture of African, Arab, Indian, and European influences that have shaped Zanzibar over centuries.

The following day introduces you to another important part of Zanzibar’s identity: its spices and cuisine. Zanzibar has long been known as the “Spice Island,” particularly for its production of cloves and other tropical spices. During a guided Spice Farm tour, you will see, smell, and learn about spices, herbs, and tropical fruits grown on the island. Depending on the season, these may include cloves, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, turmeric, and black pepper.

The experience continues with a Zanzibar cooking class, giving you an opportunity to learn how local ingredients and spices are transformed into traditional dishes. It is an interactive way to understand Zanzibar’s culinary traditions while enjoying the flavours of the island. After the experience, you will leave the Stone Town area and travel towards Matemwe on Zanzibar’s northeastern coast.

Matemwe offers a completely different atmosphere, with a long tropical coastline, beautiful ocean views, and convenient access to the waters surrounding Mnemba Island. Your third day is dedicated to exploring this famous marine area. Travel by boat towards designated snorkelling locations, where you can enter the clear Indian Ocean and look for colourful tropical fish, coral formations, and other marine life that may naturally be encountered.

After the excursion, return to Matemwe and enjoy the remainder of the day at your beach hotel. Your final morning is deliberately relaxed, allowing you to enjoy breakfast, the beach, swimming pool, and tropical surroundings before checking out.

At the appropriate time, your private driver will collect you for your transfer to Zanzibar International Airport. Combining culture, food, history, marine adventure, and beach relaxation, this four-day package provides a diverse introduction to Zanzibar and can also be easily combined with a Tanzania safari.
