4 Day Tanzania Safari Tours
Overview
Experience the very best of Tanzania’s Northern Safari Circuit on this unforgettable 4-day Tanzania safari, a journey that perfectly combines breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary wildlife, and authentic African hospitality into one remarkable adventure. Designed for travellers seeking to explore Tanzania’s most iconic national parks within a short period, this itinerary offers an incredible opportunity to discover the endless plains of the Serengeti, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, and the elephant-filled landscapes of Tarangire National Park. Every destination reveals a different side of Tanzania’s natural beauty, making this safari ideal for first-time visitors, couples, families, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
Your adventure begins with a journey from Arusha to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, where you have the flexibility to travel either by a scenic overland safari through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands or by a domestic flight directly into the heart of the park. Travelling by road offers incredible views of the Great Rift Valley, Maasai villages, and the rolling highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, while flying allows you to maximise your time among the wildlife. Whichever option you choose, your arrival in Serengeti marks the beginning of an unforgettable safari experience.
The Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and is internationally famous for the annual Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Throughout the year, Serengeti offers outstanding game viewing, with excellent opportunities to encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, crocodiles, hippos, and countless species of antelope. Its endless golden plains, scattered acacia trees, rocky kopjes, and dramatic sunsets create one of the most iconic safari landscapes in the world.
Your safari continues to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often described as Africa’s Garden of Eden. Formed millions of years ago following the collapse of a massive volcano, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is today home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife anywhere on the African continent. Descending more than 600 metres onto the crater floor reveals a spectacular natural sanctuary where the legendary Big Five live alongside thousands of grazing animals, colourful flamingos, hippos, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife. The crater’s unique ecosystem and breathtaking scenery make it one of Tanzania’s most unforgettable safari destinations.
The final chapter of your journey takes you to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant ancient baobab trees and Tanzania’s largest elephant population. During the dry season, the Tarangire River becomes the park’s lifeline, attracting large numbers of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, and more than 550 recorded bird species. Compared to the larger parks, Tarangire offers a quieter and more intimate safari experience while still providing exceptional wildlife viewing and stunning photographic opportunities.
Throughout your adventure, you’ll travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced professional guide whose extensive knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, ecosystems, and local culture will enrich every moment of your journey. Carefully selected accommodations, delicious meals, and seamless service ensure that every aspect of your safari is both comfortable and memorable. Whether you’re witnessing predators on the hunt in the Serengeti, admiring the breathtaking scenery of Ngorongoro, or watching giant elephant herds wander beneath Tarangire’s iconic baobab trees, every day promises extraordinary moments that will stay with you forever. This four-day safari offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and unforgettable wildlife encounters, creating memories that will inspire you long after you leave Tanzania.

Safaris can be 2 to 14 days or longer. Most travellers opt for between 5 and 8 days to comfortably cover several national parks, but longer safaris offer more time to track the Great Migration or combine wildlife with cultural experiences and Zanzibar.
Sure. Many of our clients opt to end their safari with a relaxing beach holiday in Zanzibar. Domestic flights run daily and it is easy to combine the incredible wildlife of Tanzania with the white sand beaches and turquoise waters of Zanzibar.
Most international visitors require a Tanzanian tourist visa, usually available either online or on arrival, depending on nationality. We also recommend that you discuss recommended vaccinations and malaria prevention with your healthcare provider prior to travel.
