This safari is ideal for families with a busy schedule and will introduce you to the spectacular Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich parks, famous for its giant herds of elephants, old baobab trees and varied landscapes.
Tarangire National Park is a few hours drive from Arusha and is a good option for families, as wildlife viewing is possible all year round and driving distances are relatively short. The park is home to some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa, giving children and adults the unforgettable experience of watching these gentle giants feed, bathe and interact in their natural habitat. Apart from the elephants, families can look forward to seeing lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, monkeys and a fantastic variety of birds.
The park’s permanent Tarangire River is a lifeline for animals and especially during the dry season thousands of animals congregate along its banks. Each game drive is full of exciting opportunities to spot wildlife as your experienced private safari guide shares fascinating facts about the animals, plants and ecosystems that make Tarangire one of Tanzania’s hidden gems.
Travelling on a private family safari means you can enjoy full flexibility throughout your trip. You can stop any time your kids want to look at animals, stay a little longer taking wildlife photos, take as many breaks as you want, and go at your family’s pace. Your private 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser is built specifically for safari adventures with comfortable seating, large viewing windows and a pop-up roof for superb wildlife viewing.
The safari is well designed so you will have many opportunities to view wildlife and not too many long travel days, ideal for families with young children or those traveling with several generations.
