10 Day Zanzibar Holiday Package
Overview
Discover the best of Zanzibar on this 10-day island holiday combining the beautiful beaches of Kendwa, exciting marine experiences, authentic local culture and the historic atmosphere of Stone Town. Designed for travellers who want plenty of time to relax while still experiencing Zanzibar beyond the resort, this itinerary offers a comfortable balance between beach days, ocean adventures and cultural exploration.
Your holiday begins with a direct transfer from Zanzibar International Airport to Kendwa on the northern coast. Known for its beautiful white-sand beach and turquoise Indian Ocean waters, Kendwa provides the perfect setting to settle into island life. Rather than filling every day with excursions, several days are deliberately left free, allowing you to enjoy your resort, swim, walk along the beach and experience Zanzibar at a slower pace.
The first adventure takes you towards Tumbatu Island, located off Zanzibar’s northwestern coast. The experience introduces you to another side of Zanzibar’s marine environment before continuing to Nungwi for a visit to its well-known sea turtle conservation aquarium. After this active day, two consecutive days are reserved completely for relaxation in Kendwa.
Another highlight is an ocean experience around Mnemba Atoll, one of Zanzibar’s best-known marine areas. Clear tropical waters create excellent opportunities for snorkelling and discovering colourful marine life before returning to Kendwa for another relaxing day.
Your journey then takes you south for the famous Safari Blue experience. Traditional sailing, snorkelling, swimming and beautiful sandbanks come together during a full day on the Indian Ocean. Another free day follows, ensuring the itinerary remains comfortable rather than rushed.
Towards the end of the holiday, leave Kendwa and travel through the heart of Zanzibar for a fascinating spice experience. Discover the cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom and tropical fruits that helped establish Zanzibar as the legendary Spice Island before continuing to historic Stone Town. Explore its narrow streets, carved doors, markets and centuries of Swahili history before spending your final night in the cultural heart of Zanzibar.
With six nights focused around Zanzibar’s northern beaches, carefully selected excursions and a final cultural experience in Stone Town, this 10-day package is ideal for couples, honeymooners, families and travellers looking for a complete Zanzibar holiday with plenty of genuine relaxation.
